Todd McShay Pegs DE Robert Quinn Going to Cleveland

After posting yesterday that Mel Kiper's latest mock draft has the Cleveland Browns going with WR Julio Jones, today we take a look at who Todd McShay now thinks will go to Cleveland: DE Robert Quinn.

It appeared at one point that Clemson DE Da'Quan Bowers would be a steal here but concerns about Bowers' injured knee continue to increase. Quinn, meanwhile, is coming off a strong pro day workout, and while he's not as stout against the run he offers significantly more upside than Bowers as a pass rusher. Adding an impact right defensive end like Quinn would be a great start for the Browns as they transition to a 4-3 defense.

Both mock drafts have Patrick Peterson falling past the Browns to No. 7 overall, where the San Francisco 49ers would be getting a steal. I know that Kiper and McShay both addressed needs with their picks (wide receiver and defensive end), but I stick by the fact that I will be really let down if we let the opportunity of a Joe Haden-Patrick Peterson defensive backfield slip away from us. McShay now has Bowers falling all the way down to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
