I have a few media related notes to pass along, as I'm sure some of you like listening to radio shows about the Cleveland Browns.
- SiriusXM NFL Radio, with hosts Tim Ryan and Pat Kirwan, are making their annual visit to Berea today. Their show will be broadcasting live from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm, so they should be there during the practice that is open to the public. They usually score a good amount of interviews too, so if you're a subscriber, be sure to tune in.
- 92.3 "The Fan" is going to be Cleveland's newest sports talk radio channel, so there will finally be some competition to WKNR 850. The new format begins August 29, and the network will be the new home for Westwood One with national broadcasts of Thursday, Sunday, and Monday football games, among other sporting events. Here is the lineup they have so far:
Nationally-known talent Kevin Kiley will team up with Cleveland’s own Chuck Booms weekday mornings from 6:00-10:00AM for the area’s only local morning drive sports-talk show. Kiley & Booms previously co-hosted a national show on the Fox Sports Radio Network. Adam "The Bull", formerly of WFAN in New York, will fill the afternoon drive time slot from 3:00-7:00PM. The remainder of The Fan lineup will be announced at a later date.I don't know those guys, but maybe they'll be a worthy alternative to the likes of The Really Big Show.
- ESPN AFC North blogger James Walker is in Berea covering the Browns this week, so expect a few observations from him on his blog.
- Remember, Vic Carruci's Cleveland Browns Daily has been airing every weekday from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM on WKNR 850. I'm digging the hour-long Browns coverage just before the start of Tribe games.
