Did you wonder why the heck the Cleveland Browns were carrying a fullback on their practice squad? Apparently, they weren't the only team who saw something they liked in the undrafted free agent. For now, Tyler Clutts is a member of the Chicago Bears.
Clutts was signed to the Bears' 53-man roster. The Bears had previously waived Will Ta’ufo’ou, who had been the only fullback on their roster and was with the team off-and-on since the 2009 season. I'm not sure how often the Bears use a fullback, but since he is the only one on their roster, I guess it's fair to say that he is a starter.
Rumors are circulating the Internet that the Browns will sign fullback Eddie Williams, who was also just waived by the Bears, to their practice squad to fill the void left by Clutts. Williams was a seventh-round pick in the 2009 draft by the Washington Redskins.
