Mike Holmgren Press Conference at 1 PM - Open Thread

Jason Miller

Cleveland Browns team president Mike Holmgren is scheduled to meet with the media for a press conference Tuesday at 1:00 PM EDT. He will no doubt address the fact that he will be retiring at the end of the 2012-2013 NFL season, as new owner Jimmy Haslam revealed last Tuesday at the league meetings. I'm sure the media will try to pry information from Holmgren on whether it was really his decision to retire, or whether he is being forced out.

I'm also interested in hearing what Holmgren has to say about the team's start to the season at 1-6. Although Holmgren's opinion might be viewed as irrelevant at this point since it's only a matter of time before he's officially gone, he's always had the ability to demonstrate a calm presence about the direction of the team.

Use this as an open thread to discuss Holmgren's press conference. I assume that this will be the final time we hear Holmgren address the media as a member of the Browns. While you're waiting, feel free to read Tony Grossi's recap of Holmgren's 'legacy' with the Browns. Holmgren's press conference can be heard live on 92.3 The Fan, and I would imagine that it'll be streamed on the official team site.
