In this week's injury report, CB Dimitri Patterson and S Ray Ventrone are the two players who have been ruled out for the Browns in Sunday's game against the Cowboys. Patterson has missed more than a month with an ankle injury, while Ventrone slowly regressed all week with a calf injury. Ventrone will probably be replaced by S Tashaun Gipson on special teams duties.
The Browns have listed CB Joe Haden as questionable, but as we stated earlier, he will be a game-time decision after suffering a non-contact oblique injury on Wednesday. The other player listed as questionable, DT Ahtyba Rubin, is expected to return to action and be in the starting lineup along with DT Phil Taylor.
The Cowboys, meanwhile, have a huge problem at the center position heading into this game. They are definitely without starter Phil Costa, and backup Ryan Cook is doubtful. It sounds like Mackenzy Bernadeau will get his first career start at center for Dallas. Mackenzy was a seventh-round pick for the Panthers in 2008 and is in his first season with Dallas.
