SB Nation Week 12 NFL Power Rankings: Despite Loss, Browns Back Up to No. 29

Matthew Emmons-US PRESSWIRE

In SB Nation's Week 12 NFL Power Rankings, Joel Thorman bumped the Cleveland Browns up to No. 29 overall, showing that anyone who hangs with the Cowboys deserves some more credibility (or at least some more than the collapsing Panthers). Here's what Joel said about the Browns this week:

29. Cleveland Browns (LW: 30, 2-8): For an hour or two there, we were all Browns fans, rooting for them to beat the Cowboys.

Here is how the rest of the AFC North fared in the rankings:

Baltimore: No. 4 (up from No. 5) Rising
Pittsburgh: No. 9 (down from No. 4) Falling
Cincinnati: No. 17 (up from No. 22) Rising
Cleveland: No. 29 (up from No. 30) Rising

The biggest loser in the rankings this week is Pittsburgh. Everything was looking great for them until Ben Roethlisberger's injury. Their stretch of facing AFC North teams couldn't have come at a worse time for them, and they will really sink if they lose to the Browns this week. The Bengals deserve some credit for beating the Giants and the Chiefs with ease over the past two weeks; they could end up sneaking into the postseason if they keep this up. Baltimore continues to fly high ever since they lost Ray Lewis.
