Phil Taylor injury: Browns' DT hurts ankle in win over Chiefs

Taylor eventually was back on the sidelines getting the fans into the game but didn't return to action.

Matthew Emmons-US PRESSWIRE

The Cleveland Browns notched up their third straight win with a 30-7 victory over the struggling Kansas City Chiefs at home. One could argue it was the Browns most complete game of the season but defensive tackle Phillip Taylor didn't play in too much of it. The second year player out of Baylor left the game early with an ankle injury. Taylor wouldn't return to game action but would come out of the locker room to keep the crowd in the game. It's unknown at this point whether Taylor will be out next week.

After playing in all 16 games as a rookie last season and recording 59 tackles, Taylor has played in just four games so far this season with five tackles and a lone sack.

The Browns will look to stretch this winning streak to four games at home against the Washington Redskins next week before finishing the season with two tough road games at the Denver Broncos and at the Pittsburgh Steelers.
