The Cleveland Browns have signed former Philadelphia Eagles' defensive end Juqua Parker. The NFL Network’s Jason La Canfora reported that the deal was for one-year and worth $3 million.

Parker, 33, went undrafted in 2001 before joining the Tennessee Titans. Most of his production throughout his career was with the Eagles. He recorded six sacks on 10 starts in 2010, but had a diminished role in the 2011 season with only 1.5 sacks and no starts. Browns GM Tom Heckert is very familiar with with Parker, both having spent time together with the Eagles.
This continues the Browns' heavily defensive moves free agency thus far. Parker joins DE Frostee Rucker and CB Dimitri Patterson, whom the Browns' re-signed earlier today.
Parker certainly adds depth to the defensive line and will probably play a role on passing downs as an edge rusher.
