With the tenth pick in the 2012 Dawgs By Nature Community Mock Draft, the Buffalo Bills select...

Melvin Ingram, OLB/DE, South Carolina

This selection and write-up was made by The New Kardiac Kids:

A consensus top ten player at a position of need makes this a fairly easy pick for me. Dave Wannstedt is transitioning the Bills to a 4-3 defensive alignment. Ingram brings the versatility to help this transition go smoothly as he can play DE and OLB. The only knock I've seen on him is that people question his ability to keep up with RB's in the flat. On that note, he did run a 4.79 and seems to take good angles to the runner. The real positive with the guy is his ability to shoot the gap and get around the edge making him a serious threat when it comes to pass rushing. This would be a real plus for the Bills as it seems everyone else in their division either has or is trying to land a stud QB.

The Bills gave up 27 or more points in 10 out of their 16 games last year. Although Ryan Fitzpatrick struggled down the stretch, they are pretty much committed to him, and they have some nice talent at running back, wide receiver, and tight end. I could see them improving their offensive line too, but choosing a defensive player seems like the better move. Buffalo was ranked 28th in the league in sacks last year, so they could use a guy like Ingram to help get to the quarterback more often.

The Kansas City Chiefs are on the clock next (email will be sent to Brownie's Year).
