DBN Draft Player Profiles (Sign Up)

Last year, Dawgs By Nature member Roger Dorn encouraged users to create and post draft profiles on specific players. With the draft coming up in a couple of weeks, I thought it might be a good idea to get some fresher discussions going on individual players you think the Cleveland Browns should select.

You can write about first- or second-round prospects, or you can pick players who would be considered "late-round gold," as Brownsyup did last year. Two sample draft profiles from a year ago are here and here. You don't have to be as detailed as these examples, but try to have something more than one sentence that says, "I like player X, how about you?"

We'll see how many responses we get to this. Just in case it gets busy, players will be given on a first-come, first-serve basis. Reserve one date prior to this year's draft that you will post your draft profile on. One player per date, and anyone who writes a draft profile will have it promoted to the front page, like last year. A sample outline of a player profile post is listed after the jump. If you want an idea of possible players to discuss, perhaps pick someone on our draft tracker.

The profile should include a subset of the following:

1. Player Name

2. Collegiate Information (School and Stats)

3. Measurables (Height, Weight, and Combine Information)

4. Expected NFL Position

5. Player Strengths & Weaknesses

7. What is the potential upside for the Browns in drafting the player? (optimist) What is the potential downside for the Browns in drafting the player? (pessimist)
