March Madness might have come to a close yesterday, but there is another spectacle taking place today that could generate a lot of buzz too. At 11:00 AM, Nike will unveil the new home uniforms it has designed for the NFL effective this season. Reportedly, only home jerseys will be a part of today's unveiling in New York. A member of each of the league's 32 NFL teams will be on hand to "model" the uniforms. The representative for the Cleveland Browns is cornerback Joe Haden. No surprise there.
While not every team is expected to receive significant changes to their uniforms, some teams, like the Seahawks, are expected to see a whole new look. Detroit Lions team president explained that while fans might not see big changes for their favorite teams, the technology behind the uniforms will have an impact:
"What will be different is the technology behind the uniform. You'll see a lot more of the fabrics and the lines and the makeup that you see in quite frankly a lot of major college programs. That'll be the big change for us out of the gate."
Our Redskins affiliate, Hogs Haven, is live at the Nike event and might have some nice updates on Twitter when it starts. Use this as an open thread to react to some of the uniform changes as pictures start floating around the web.
