It's time for another brief snapshot of what happened during the past week related to the Cleveland Browns (or important NFL news) as they get ready to begin their summer break. After the jump is a recap from the week of June 10 - June 16.

  • Sunday, June 10th: The topic of the day involved the team's receivers, particular who would make the roster between Carlton Mitchell and Josh Cooper. ... I weighed in during my edition of The Sunday Five, and Terry Pluto also brought it up in his column. ... Both of us have a favorable opinion of Cooper.
  • Monday, June 11th: Tony Grossi posted a nice two-part interview with Brad Childress, where the team's offensive coordinator talked about his plans to be up in the booth and the team's need for a quarterback. ... Brandon Weeden and Trent Richardson each discussed their intentions to sign their rookie contracts prior to training camp.
  • Tuesday, June 12th: Another top 10 post saw fans discussing what type of players a franchise can be built around. ... The final stretch of organized team activities began, and Seneca Wallace stated that he doesn't expect the Browns to carry both he and Colt McCoy on the roster.
  • Wednesday, June 13th: A few articles came out detailing how Josh Cooper will be building his chemistry with Brandon Weeden over summer break and once training camp begins. ...
  • Thursday, June 14th: It was "Mike Holmgren Day" as he had a one hour press conference with a bunch of good stuff to react upon. ... His major point was that he plans on being more available to the media moving forward. ... He also said when brown jerseys will be used this season, and how he'd like for the relationship with Jim Brown to be repaired. ... The remainder of his press conference was broken down by topic.
  • Friday, June 15th: ESPN still considers Joshua Cribbs a versatile player, ranking him sixth in the AFC. ... Holmgren met with 92.3 The Fan on his 64th birthday and made comparisons to the current Browns team to his Seahawks team. ... Jim Brown acknowledged that he wouldn't mind meeting with Holmgren again, perhaps as a way to mend their relationship. ... This was the final day of OTA's for the Browns, meaning that "summer break" is now underway until training camp in late July. ... It looks like, with a small fee, fans will have access to coaches film next season.
  • Saturday, June 16th: The whole "Colt McCoy is on the trading block" situation was the major topic of discussion as temperatures began to heat up again in Cleveland.
