NFL Playoffs: Green Bay Packers vs. San Francisco 49ers, Divisional Round (Open Thread)

USA TODAY Sports

This is a very tough game to project. Both teams are basically at full strength in terms of health and are arguable the two best remaining teams in the NFC. After starting the season at 2-3, the Packers went on a tear and Aaron Rodgers was back to his unstoppable self. The 49ers' season was a bit shakier -- they clearly have physically dominant players on both sides of the ball, but there has been lackluster play against teams like Seattle, St. Louis, Arizona, and Minnesota.

I don't know if home-field advantage will be the deciding factor in this game. It is worth noting that the Packers went 4-4 on the road, though. San Francisco as a team is up to the task of a shootout; after all, they came out victorious in one against the Saints last season. This game really falls on quarterback Colin Kaepernick in my opinion. If they win, it's because he ran the offense to perfection. If they lose, it'll be because he's the goat. We've seen both sides of Kaepernick since he took over for Alex Smith. In front of his home crowd, I'll go with the option of him delivering in the clutch. 49ers 28, Packers 24
