With news of the Cleveland Browns possibly going to a hybrid defense after the hiring of head coach Rob Chudzinski, reports surfaced today of who he might be targeting as his defensive coordinator: the Chargers' John Pagano.
Browns HC Rob Chudzinski targeting SD's John Pagano as his defensive coordinator. KC also did, but Chargers wouldn't let him out of deal yet

Pagano is the brother of Indianapolis Colts head coach Chuck Pagano. It's interesting to hear that the Chargers wouldn't let him out of his deal yet to make a (presumably) lateral move to the Chiefs. I'm not sure if he could make a move to Cleveland if he received a title like "assistant head coach" in addition to being a defensive coordinator, but we shall see. Pagano has been with the Chargers since 2005. He was their long-time linebackers coach before being promoted to defensive coordinator this past season.
Mary Kay Cabot of the Plain Dealer makes it sound like it's only a matter of time until Norv Turner is named the Browns' offensive coordinator:
Norv turner in Hawaii w/ the family but will be named #browns OC when he gets back.

We'll have more news as it comes along. Would Pagano as the defensive coordinator get you excited?
