According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the Cleveland Browns officially cut ties with defensive coordinator Dick Jauron today:
The Browns officially fired their former defensive coordinator Dick Jauron today. Cleveland hired Ray Horton to take his place.

I don't know if this is some form of standard procedure around the NFL, but on the surface, it certainly seems unusual, considering the hiring of Ray Horton over a week ago. I can't imagine the formality would have prevented him from landing a job elsewhere, but he's officially out of a job. Maybe this explains what took so long:
So I saw Dick Jauron walking around the complex in Berea this morning and realized that I forgot to fire him. Whoops. #BannerFace

Is Brad Childress still hanging around somewhere too?
New defensive coordinator Ray Horton will meet with the media on Tuesday at 10:00 AM EST with head coach Rob Chudzinski. This could be as close as we get to getting answers about the 4-3 vs. 3-4 defense for awhile, so be sure to tune in!
