NFL Mock Draft: Cleveland Browns Taking DE Damontre Moore at No. 6 Overall

Matthew Emmons-USA TODAY Sports

With the college football season coming to a close last night after Alabama destroyed Notre Dame in the BCS National Championship, and the first round of the NFL Playoffs over with, Dan Kadar from Mocking the Draft posted his second mock draft since the end of the regular season.

In the first mock draft posted last week, Dan had the Browns going with Florida State DE Bjoern Werner. You wouldn't think a team's projected pick could change in a week, but Dan now has the Lions (who pick at No. 5 overall) taking Werner. The Lions previously trook CB Dee Milliner, but the new mock draft has him slipping all the way to the Buccaneers at No. 13 overall. Who does that leave for Cleveland? That would be DE Damontre Moore:

6. Cleveland Browns - Damontre Moore, Defensive End, Texas A&M

Damontre Moore has shown a variety of skills in different defensive scheme over the last two seasons for the Aggies. He's an explosive edge rusher with great length. NFL scouts will fall in love with this kid's motor. The Browns' defense is a pass rusher away from being something special.

Last week, I made my stance known on not preferring a defensive end, so I'm looking forward to some alternative projections over the next couple of months. Moore was originally slotted to go to the Raiders at No. 3 overall.

Check out the rest of Dan's early mock and let us know what you think.
