Kevin Jairaj-USA TODAY Sports

After a Jason Campbell interception, QB Andy Dalton responded with a touchdown pass to TE Jermaine Gresham on the first play of the second quarter, closing the gap to 13-7. After a three-and-out by the Browns, P Spencer Lanning had his punt deflected, giving Cincinnati good field position. They pulled off a trick play with WR Mohamed Sanu completing a deep pass to RB Giovani Bernard, giving Cincinnati the ball at the 9 yard line. On third down, the Bengals got another touchdown pass from Dalton to Sanu, putting the Bengals up 14-13.

Things only got worse from there. The offense continued to sputter, and Lanning had a punt blocked this time. The Bengals scooped up the loose ball at the 25 yard line and returned it for a touchdown, giving the Bengals 21 unanswered points and a 21-13 lead. On Cleveland's next drive, RB Chris Ogbonnaya fumbled and the ball was taken back for a touchdown by Cincinnati, giving them a 28-13 lead. They added another field goal before the end of the half to make it 31-13. It was a complete disaster of a half for the Browns, and one that could ruin their playoff hopes for the rest of the season if they don't rebound in a major way in the second half.
