Bears-Browns Injury Report: Cutler to Start, Briggs Still Out

Jonathan Daniel

Here is a wrap-up of the injury situation for the Cleveland Browns heading into this week's game against the Chicago Bears:

  • QB Brandon Weeden has been cleared to play for the Browns and will be the backup to QB Jason Campbell on Sunday.
  • RB Willis McGahee and LG John Greco have both been ruled out, as has TE Andre Smith. RB Chris Ogbonnaya should see increased carries in McGahee's absence, while OG Jason Pinkston will start at left guard for Greco.
  • QB Jay Cutler is returning for the Bears after missing several games. LB Lance Briggs had hoped to return this week, but has been ruled out for one more game. Other than that, the Bears boast the shortest injury report we've seen on the season. That doesn't mean they haven't been banged up, though, as many of their key defensive players are already on injured reserve.
