Cleveland Browns:

  • "Browns to meet with Josh Cribbs' agent during combine" (Plain Dealer) - "The Browns will meet with Josh Cribbs' agent, J.R. Rickert, at the NFL Combine to talk about the possibility of re-signing the three-time Pro Bowler. The Browns are also likely to meet with the agents of other free agents, including kicker Phil Dawson. If they're not re-signed by the Browns, they'll hit the market March 12."
  • "Browns face important questions about draft prospects" (Beacon Journal) - "By the time the NFL Scouting Combine began Wednesday in Indianapolis, the Browns had already done their homework on prospects and formed opinions about them. A player’s performance in college, not the combine, is usually what makes or breaks his draft stock."
  • "NFL scouting combine preview: 5 things to watch for this week" (Chronicle-Telegram) - "Once again, the scouting combine introduces a new Browns regime to the NFL. It’s become an almost annual ritual. The short-lived Eric Mangini-George Kokinis management team debuted in 2009, Mike Holmgren and Tom Heckert were newly in charge in 2010, and coach Pat Shurmur was added in 2011."
  • "Assessing the Field" (ESPN Cleveland) - "On the clock: The 2013 NFL season begins today with the arrival in Indianapolis of all NFL coaches, GMs, scouts, 334 draft-eligible players, about 2,000 player agents and about 800 credentialed media for the convention known as the NFL scouting combine."
