The Dolphins got their wide receivers this free agency, which opens them up to another less documented position of need: cornerback. While a left tackle may be a bigger need, in this mock there is no one worth taking here. Desmond Trufant is a strong cover cornerback who should be able to step right in and become their #1. I believe he could be a great cornerback for them if they picked him here.

The Miami Dolphins' draft plans were altered by their actions in free agency, as they signed wide receiver Mike Wallace and a pair of linebackers. One player they let get away was cornerback Sean Smith, who signed with the Kansas City Chiefs. This might be considered a little early for Trufant, and losing Jake Long isn't the easiest thing in the world, but I think the Dolphins would be content with this pick.
