Cleveland Browns:

  • "Browns' draft not as clear-cut as it appears" (AFC North Blog) - "Fact No. 1: The Cleveland Browns desperately need a starting cornerback. Fact No. 2: Alabama's Dee Milliner is the consensus top-rated cornerback in the draft. Opinion: The Browns should trade out of the No. 6 overall pick even if Milliner is available."
  • "Trent Richardson wants to take game to higher level" (Morning Journal) - "If Browns’ top running back Trent Richardson is correct, last season was just a tease, an appetizer before the main course Trent a la Norv is served up in 2012. Richardson is excited for his second NFL season for several reasons, not the least of which he is healthy in the Browns’ current three-day minicamp."
  • "Kruger, Sheard Give OLBs New Look" (OBR) - "The Browns prize acquisition of free agency took his first reps on the practice field wearing the orange and brown this week. After practice, Paul Kruger admitted that he feels the pressure as being the marquee acquisition in free agency for the Browns. However, he welcomes it."
  • "Tashaun Gipson strives to prove his worth as a starter in 2013" (Plain Dealer) - "Tashaun Gipson played in the NFL last season as an undrafted free agent -- a three-word description the Browns safety believes is attached to him like a nameplate on a jersey."

NFL:

  • "Packers sign Matthews to long-term extension" (AP) - "One big deal done for the Green Bay Packers, one to go. The Packers locked up star linebacker Clay Matthews with a long-term extension Wednesday, and also is negotiating with quarterback Aaron Rodgers."
  • "Ezekiel Ansah's passport viewed" (ESPN) - "In an effort to clarify questions about the age of BYU defensive end Ezekiel "Ziggy" Ansah, a select group of interested teams have received photocopies of Ansah's Ghana passport to verify his birthdate as May 29, 1989."
  • "GM: Jets open to trade possibilities" (ESPN) - "Cornerback Darrelle Revis could be entering his final week as a member of the New York Jets. His new boss, general manager John Idzik, said nothing Wednesday to change that perception."
  • "Are Justin Hunter, David Amerson first-round picks?" (NFL.com) - "We know about the headliners in the first round of the 2013 NFL Draft, but who could be some of the sleepers who sneak into the back end of the round next Thursday night?"
