The Miami Dolphins are reportedly looking to move Davone Bess. And according to Sean Jensen of the Chicago Sun-Times, the Cleveland Browns are apparently a team seriously in the mix.
#Browns seriously considering a trade for Dolphins WR Davone Bess, according to a league source. Several teams in the mix.

Ben Volin of the Palm Beach Post also independently confirmed that the Browns are in play, however the teams appear to be far apart.
Can independently confirm that #Browns are interested in trading for Davone Bess, although source indicates sides aren't close right now

Obviously nothing is official, but clearly it looks like there's some merit to these reports. Both Jensen and Volin are reporting that "mid-round picks" are being discussed.
WR Davone Bess is a solid player but let's not get crazy; I'm hearing mid-round picks being discussed.

Probably a 3rd-5th round pick? RT @hamilton_rtm: @benvolinpbp What do you think we can get for him?

It's fairly easy to understand why the Browns may be interested in a WR like Bess. The Browns have a good core of young WR, but lack a veteran presence, especially with Josh Cribbs gone. Davone Bess may have a steadying impact on this young WR core. Then again, they could also be trading a useful mid-round pick on a guy that's nothing overwhelming.
Bess will be 28 by the time next season rolls around. He's been a steady contributor for the Dolphins since he was signed as an undrafted free agent in 2008 out of Hawaii. Last year he had 61 catches for 778 yards and 1 touchdown. He appeared in 15 games, staring in 13.
So what do you all think? Are you okay with giving up a mid-round pick for a veteran WR like Bess?
We'll keep it tuned to this one...
