Although there was some big news about the Cleveland Browns signing a wide receiver today, there was also a lot of news about former members of the team. We already reported about the Seahawks trying out former Browns quarterbacks Brady Quinn and Seneca Wallace. Earlier today, Adam Caplan of SiriusXM had a note about a former Browns tight end:
Former #Browns FB/TE Alex Smith to visit the Bengals this week, according to his agent, Kevin Robinson.

With Cleveland having signed Gary Barnidge and Kellen Davis this offseason, there was virtually no chance that Smith would be returning to the team for another season. This comes a few days after the Bengals had safety Usama Young in for a visit.
In other former Browns news, just a couple of days after the Jacksonville Jaguars signed Mohamed Massaquoi to a contract, the Detroit Lions released Brian Robiskie. Here's how our DBN Twitter feed responded to the news:
What does a Robiskie look like? "@profootballtalk: Lions release Brian Robiskie wp.me/p14QSB-87n2"
