Yahoo! Sports opens Fantasy Football Leagues for 2013

Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

The 2013 NFL Regular Season is only a mere 96 more days from kickoff, but your fantasy football preparations can begin now!

This week Yahoo! Sports officially opened the doors to their free fantasy football service, allowing commissioners to create or renew private leagues, and offering anywhere from casual to veteran players the option to join a public league with a similar degree of competition.

With free live scoring, mock drafts, and redesigned mobile apps, it's no wonder more Fantasy Football fans play on Yahoo! every year than any other site. Use our advanced customization options, comprehensive research and top-notch analysis to stay a step ahead of the competition! Start your own league now and challenge your friends or play in a public league at a level that's right for you. Have fun and good luck!

Along with launching the 2013 fantasy football leagues, Yahoo! Sports released their first overall top 200 player rankings. As per usual, this list is dominated by running backs. Coming in at No. 1 is none other than fantasy freak "All Day" Adrian Peterson, and rounding out the top 10 is Cleveland's own Trent Richardson.

  1. Adrian Peterson
  2. Arian Foster
  3. Doug Martin
  4. C.J. Spiller
  5. Jamaal Charles
  6. Calvin Johnson
  7. Marshawn Lynch
  8. Ray Rice
  9. LeSean McCoy
  10. Trent Richardson

Of course, this is an incredibly early look, with the vast majority of fantasy drafts still at least a couple of months away. A lot of things will change between now and then. Teams still have the remaining OTAs, all of training camp, and the entire preseason to get through.

That said, in the midst of the league's slowest time of the year, it may be fun to begin speculating and preparing, though it's probably not vital to your fantasy success.

So, who's in the top 10 of your early fantasy football draft rankings?
