At the beginning of April, the Cleveland Browns released veteran linebacker Chris Gocong, who was attempting to return from a torn Achilles' injury. Cutting Gocong saved the Browns a good amount of money in 2013, although he still counts against the cap for a little bit of dead money. A couple of days ago, it was reported that he was being brought in for a workout by the St. Louis Rams:

The Eagles gave Gocong a tryout at their rookie minicamp earlier this offseason, but opted not to sign him. It remains to be seen whether or not the Rams will bring him in, as they have been working out a couple of veteran defensive players lately. With Gocong's starting experience from Cleveland and the defensive systems he's been a part of, he's sure to land a spot somewhere before the start of training camp.
