Cleveland Browns Training Camp 2013: CB Preview (The Final Three)

USA TODAY Sports

In Part 3 of our training camp preview on Cleveland Browns cornerbacks, we take a look at three undrafted free agents: Josh Aubrey, Akeem Auguste, and Abdul Kanneh.

8. JOSH AUBREY - UNDRAFTED FREE AGENT CORNERBACK

Height:
5-10 | Weight: 200
Age: 22 | Experience: Rookie
College: Stephen F. Austin

Note: One of two players from his college on the team...aspires to be in Darrelle Revis' league.

Josh Aubrey hails from the legendary Stephen F. Austin, a school that is so prominent that Aubrey gets to spend an NFL training camp with a fellow undrafted free agent from the same school, wide receiver Cordell Roberson.

I don't have a lot of information on Aubrey, so I'll re-state what I said when the Browns first signed him:

NFL Draft Zone calls Aubrey a "very aggressive and physical corner," and when asked to compare himself to an NFL player, Aubrey responded, "Darrelle Revis, because he is a physical corner who plays a lot of man coverage." Well, he's certainly ambitious. He also said if he could meet one person, dead or alive, it would be Ray Lewis (side note: hopefully his second favorite player isn't Aaron Hernandez, or that'd be kind of weird.) All three cornerbacks in today's preview are 5-10, but Aubrey weighs 15 pounds more than the other two guys.

9. AKEEM AUGUSTE - UNDRAFTED FREE AGENT CORNERBACK

Height:
5-10 | Weight: 185
Age: 23 | Experience: Rookie
College: South Carolina

Note: Signed after a tryout in rookie minicamp...battled through injuries his final two years of college.

While we're digging into a player's college, Akeem Auguste actually has two former teammates from South Carolina on the roster with him: wide receiver Tori Gurley and punter Spencer Lanning. "Take THAT," says Auguste to Aubrey.

Auguste was one of two cornerbacks who were invited to the Browns' rookie minicamp in May on a tryout basis, and was signed following the tryout. One of the things that might have helped him get signed? During the tryout, he reportedly jumped an out route, tipped the pass, and hauled the ball in for an interception.

The story for Auguste is that he wasn't able to stay healthy the past two years in college. He only played one game in 2011 due to a foot injury. In 2012, he was limited to just 15 tackles and 1 interception after battling through a groin injury most of the year. Draft Insider said that Auguste looked like a possible "star in the making" after 2010. Can he remain injury free and show off some of the spark he once had in training camp?

10. ABDUL KANNEH - UNDRAFTED FREE AGENT CORNERBACK

8276_mediumAbdul Kanneh (#40)

Height:
5-10 | Weight: 185
Age: 22 | Experience: Rookie
College: New Mexico-Highlands

Note: Born in London, England...led team in interceptions in 2012.

Sadly, Abdul Kanneh has no teammates in training camp from New Mexico-Highlands (though it is where former WWE wrestler Eddie Guerrero is from).

Kanneh was the top defensive back for his college team, and in 2012, he registered six interceptions, including two returns for touchdowns. Kanneh also had some limited exposure to returning kickoffs, although there is no indication that he will be used in that capacity with the Browns.

Another interesting note? Kanneh's hometown is London, England.

That concludes all of our training camp positional previews; I'd like to thank everyone who had the patience to sit through all of them. I hope it made the amount of time until the start of training camp fly by, and that you feel more educated about the 89 players who are currently on the roster.

Our final poll asks which of the three players from today's preview you like the most. Simple enough, eh?
