The Cleveland Browns will practice at FirstEnergy Stadium on Saturday, August 3rd, starting at 6:30 PM EST, as part of the team's annual "Family Fun Night." I will be attending tonight's practice, and will have a detailed report some time on Sunday.
Admission to the event is free. There will be activities and entertainment outside the stadium, particularly for kids, starting at 4:30 PM. The gates to the stadium will open promptly at 5:30 PM, although you can gain early admission if you show a PNC Debit Card. Practice will commence at 6:30 PM and conclude around 9:00 PM. An autograph session, laser show, and fireworks display will be held at the stadium after practice. The Browns are supposed to be in full pads this year for the practice session.
Here is what head coach Rob Chudzinski said the fans could expect from the session:
"We're going to treat it like it is a regular practice. We will work situations in that. We will have pads on again. I've really been pleased with the last two days of work, yesterday and then we followed up today. We did not have pads on today but we worked a lot of situations, two-minute drills and Red Zone situations. The execution has been much better. It has really improved. I've been pleased with that. The guys are focused and coming out here to practice with a purpose."
If anyone else attends and takes photos or has practice notes, feel free to email them to me at pokorny@pfcritics.com to be used in my writeup.
