Cleveland Browns right guard Shawn Lauvao was carted off the field toward the end of Monday afternoon's practice at training camp in Berea.
#browns lauvao was bullrushed by Phil Taylor in one-on-one pass rush drills and went down, carted off.

(Flash to Pinkston's reaction after Lauvao is carted away)
Browns head coach Rob Chudzinski told reporters they would have to evaluate the exact nature of Lauvao's injury, but that it is believed Lauvao injured his ankle. Chudzinski acknowledged the fact that Jason Pinkston has been getting some practice reps at right guard and would fill in for Lauvao if needed.
This is a tough time for Lauvao to suffer an injury. He was in a direct competition with Pinkston for the starting role at right guard. Since Lauvao has been practicing with the first-team offense for all of camp, he appeared to be the favorite. Let's assume that Lauvao has an ankle injury that forces him to be idle for most of the preseason. That might prevent him from getting the Week 1 start at right guard if Pinkston builds up chemistry with the first-team offense during the preseason games. This is a contract year for Lauvao too.
Pinkston did provide somewhat of an update after practice about his teammate:
Jason Pinkston said it looked like Lauvao rolled his ankle and did put some weight on it after. Said looks like team is being cautious
