NFL Playoffs: New Orleans Saints vs. Seattle Seahawks, Divisional Round (Open Thread)

Joe Nicholson-USA TODAY Sports

The Saints did not match up too well against the Seahawks earlier this season, losing in Seattle by a score of 34-7. Drew Brees could not get the ball down the field against Seattle's cornerbacks, and they never could get their running game going. Russell Wilson also had one of his best games of the season.

The Saints should certainly be expected to rebound with a much stronger effort this time around, but Seattle is still extremely tough to beat at home, where they are 15-1 over the past two seasons. That is why getting home-field advantage was imperative for them this season. The Saints will have a couple of tricks up their sleeve, but Rob Ryan's defense won't be able to stop Seattle's efficiency again. On paper, this seems like the most definitive victory of the divisional round of the playoffs. Seahawks 28, Saints 17
