Browns Will Reportedly Interview Bills' DC Mike Pettine

The Browns will reportedly be adding another candidate to the interview pool, Mike Pettine, the defensive coordinator for the Buffalo Bills.

According to Jay Glazer, the Cleveland Browns will reportedly interview Buffalo Bills' defensive coordinator Mike Pettine for its open head coach position.

Pettine joins a long list of candidates for Cleveland, but he's one of few defensive guys on the list. Dan Quinn and Todd Bowles are the other defensive minded coaches, but Bowles has removed himself from consideration.

Pettine just finished his first year as the Bills DC, where they ranked 10th in the NFL in total defense (one spot behind Cleveland). Previously Pettine was the DC for the Jets from 2009-2012, and those defenses were pretty darn good. In 2009 under Pettine, the Jets defense ranked 1st in the NFL in total defense.

Before getting his first coordinator position with the Jets, Pettine was an assistant in Baltimore for 7 seasons. So at least he's familiar with the division.

It's been well documented that the Browns are waiting on the Broncos' playoff run to come to an end in order to hopefully interview Adam Gase. But for now it appears we can add another name to the list.

Bills fans seem to be upset about the possibility of losing Pettine. But what do you think about the prospects of Mike Pettine?
