Dan Quinn Talks About His Interview Process With Cleveland

Last week, Joe Lull of 92.3 The Fan pointed out that although the Cleveland Browns had two finalists for their head coaching job before deciding on Mike Pettine, Dan Quinn was not one of those candidates. Prior to the Super Bowl, Quinn confirmed that he wasn't really kept in the loop after his first interview with the team:

Despite the fact Quinn was in it right up until the day the Browns hired Pettine, he said he didn't receive a call from the Browns and found out about Pettine "just like everybody did.''

"We had a good first meeting and we didn't get a chance to take it any further than that. But (waiting for a second interview) was something that would've been important to me if it had come down to that.''

So there you have it: the mysterious second candidate remains a mystery...for now.
