Cleveland Browns vs. Tennessee Titans - 3rd Quarter Game Thread

Jim Brown-USA TODAY Sports

Titans QB Jake Locker ran in for a touchdown to start the second quarter, giving them a 14-0 lead. Locker took a shot from ILB Chris Kirksey in the end zone, which caused a big stir between the two teams. The Browns desperately needed a positive response drive, and although they didn't get a touchdown, they got a 38-yard field goal from K Billy Cundiff to make it a 14-3 game.

The Browns' defense couldn't stop Tennessee, though, as they marched down the field. A personal foul penalty on CB Buster Skrine knocked QB Jake Locker out of the game, but QB Charlie Whitehurst came in and tossed an easy touchdown to WR Kendall Wright, giving the Titans a 21-3 lead. The offense went three-and-out, and then Whitehurst chucked an easy 75-yard bomb to WR Justin Hunter, giving them a 28-3 lead. Pitiful from the defense.

QB Brian Hoyer did lead a clutch drive to close out the half, with some assists from WR Miles Austin and RB Ben Tate. The drive ended with a 1-yard touchdown pass from Hoyer to TE Jim Dray, closing the deficit to 28-10. The Browns will get the ball first to begin the second half...can they pull off another "Pittsburgh second half" to save the day?
