Houston Texans vs. Cleveland Browns - 4th Quarter Game Thread

The Browns got the ball to begin the third quarter and after one first down, Cleveland tried a fleaflicker. It was open, but QB Brian Hoyer had to deliver the ball quickly as pressure got to him, so he couldn't connect with WR Travis Benjamin, and they eventually had to punt.

Cleveland's defense saw the Texans drive down the field again, but a holding penalty on a 3rd down pushed the ball back and eventually led to a 52-yard field goal by K Randy Bullock, which he just barely missed, keeping it a 14-7 game. Cleveland couldn't capitalize on the field position and had to punt again.

The Texans then started running the ball down the throat of the Browns' run defense, as Cleveland showed very little ability to stop them. When the Texans got to the 28 yard line, DL Billy Winn and OLB Jabaal Sheard went down on back-to-back plays after ILB Karlos Dansby had already left in the first half. Cleveland's defense held the Texans to a 46-yard field goal to make it a 17-7 game with about five minutes to play in the third quarter.

The Browns still couldn't muster much on offense, with their next drive being killed again by DE J.J. Watt, who hit RB Ben Tate for a loss of six yards on a first down carry. On Houston's next drive, the Browns' defense came through...but Cleveland faced a 2nd-and-18 right away after Hoyer tripped on his offensive lineman. The Texans have the ball back to begin the fourth quarter of play.
