The Browns went three-and-out to begin the second half. The Bengals were desperate, going for it on 4th-and-short inside their own territory. They converted, but on the next play, QB Andy Dalton threw the ball right to FS Tashaun Gipson, who was thinking about the runback and forgot to catch the ball. On the next two plays, DE Desmond Bryant sacked Dalton.
Cleveland then put together a great drive, which included a fantastic 28-yard pass from QB Brian Hoyer to TE Gary Barnidge, down to the 3 yard line. On 3rd-and-goal from the 1 yard line, the Browns pulled the hat trick with their trio of running backs as RB Terrance West dove in for the score to give Cleveland a 24-3 lead with under five minutes to play in the third quarter!
The Browns' defense forced another Bengals punt, and Cleveland continues to drive the ball as we head to the final quarter of play.
