On the Colts' first drive of the third quarter, CB Joe Haden stripped WR T.Y Hilton of the football, giving the Browns great starting field position, 38 yards away from the end zone. Cleveland had a false start on first down, which basically killed the drive. When the Browns punted, though, Cleveland's special teams unit downed it at the 1 yard line!

The Colts got a first down, but when trying to get another one, QB Andrew Luck was hit as he threw and CB Justin Gilbert intercepted the pass, returning it 23 yards for a touchdown to give the Browns a 21-7 lead! KR Joshua Cribbs responded with a decent kickoff return, and then Luck went back to the hurry-up offense.

OLB Paul Kruger had a brilliant third down sack, but the officials called a bogus penalty on helmet-to-helmet contact, despite the fact there was no helmet contact. Cleveland's defense still held strong, but the penalty allowed K Adam Vinatieri to connect from 51 yards out, making it a 21-10 game mid-way through the third quarter.

Unfortunately, Cleveland's offense kept scuffling and had a three-and-out after a third-down drop by Benjamin, and after the punt, the Colts already had the ball at midfield. On a 3rd-and-10, though, Hilton was finally able to get the best of Haden, catching a pass on the sideline and then dodging tackles for a 41-yard touchdown. The Colts went for two points, but Luck's pass was picked off, keeping it a 21-16 game.

On Cleveland's next drive, Hoyer went for WR Josh Gordon deep on first down. He had him open, but overthrew him. The Browns went three-and-out again, giving the ball right back to a Colts offense that has been heating up. The poor punt again by P Spencer Lanning again set the Colts up at midfield. The Colts are driving as we head to the final quarter of play.
