Banner´s Scrunchers Versus Lombardi´s Scroungies

Bannerlombardidragonlarge_medium

I had an epiphany, regarding the firing of Joe Banner and Mike Lombardi, following the rumors, that they were warring against each other inside Berea.  Given the fact, that regarding the personnel, prior to Pettine, the CEO and the GM were solely responsible for reporting to the owner.  The purse strings, if you will.  What if they took their job descriptions seriously?  Duking it out between the executives view and the scout standpoint?  Here is that What If.  It tells an entirely different story, than the starters predictable, according to contracts, in the end, long term situation, enforced by The Chudd!  What story does it tell?  It says, that accepting a bit of subterfuge to a very hypocritical situation, Banner, Lombardi and possibly The Chudd, managed to create a hidden framework, seeking retribution by the honest and earnest fan base, in full sight, for the discerning football fanatic, to disseminate in their own time.  Here´s my result of the theoretical, applied to the current roster.

Lets do the math:

Banner on Offense:  25;  Lombardi on Offense:  12;

Banner on Defense:  24;  Lombardi on Defense:  10;

Banner Special Teams:  3;  Lombardi Special Teams:  1;

Theoretically, if this is Mike Lombardi´s Lineup, who would win?

OFFENSE:

TE Gary Barnidge

WR Josh Cooper

OG Oniel Cousins

OT Garrett Gilkey

OT John Greco

OG Shawn Lauvao

QB Alex Tanney

WR Brian Tyms

WR Conner Vernon

QB Brandon Weeden

RB Fozzy Whittaker

S Brandon Hughes

ILB Eric Martin

ST:

K Brandon Bogotay

But, there are only 10 on Defense!  And the Offense doesn´t have a Center!

2 names, that could have saved their jobs:  C Braxston Cave and OLB L.J. Fort!

So, in the friendly in house competition, who would have won?  Banner´s Penny Scrunchers or Lombardi´s Street Scroungies?

Under current NFL conditions, I´d give it to Joe Banner´s economy conscious selection.  Assuming Mike Lombardi´s scroungy team, didn´t get a chance to assemble and train.
