Even despite the horrible year that OL Oniel Cousins had with the Cleveland Browns in 2013, he was able to find a team to sign him to a one-year deal in free agency. That's what connections will do for a guy. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers announced today that they have signed Cousins to a one-year deal. George Warhop is the Buccaneers' offensive line coach, after being the Browns' offensive line coach from 2009-2013. Cousins was with Warhop for three of those years from 2011-2013.
The Buccaneers already have their three interior offensive linemen penciled in, so Cousins is expected to compete for a backup role in camp. Tampa Bay fans are already well aware of how poorly Cousins played during his tenure with the Browns:
Sounds like Oniel Cousins is little more than some depth, going by @DawgsByNature's comments http://t.co/Uv0Z8SKgf9

Of the Browns' seven free agents heading into the offseason, three of them were brought back (C Alex Mack, ILB Craig Robertson, and K Billy Cundiff), while three of them signed elsewhere (OG Shawn Lauvao in Washington, OG Oniel Cousins in Tampa Bay, and SS T.J. Ward in Denver). The only player left unsigned? Willis McGahee, a guy who I really can't envision any team giving a shot to after how sluggish he looked for the Browns in 2013.
