According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the Cleveland Browns have re-signed free agent kicker Billy Cundiff to a one-year deal worth $1.02 million.
Kicker Billy Cundiff agreed to terms with Browns on a 1 year, $1.02 million deal, per source.

If my calculations are correct, Cundiff has eight accrued seasons in the NFL. Assuming the veteran minimum, that could mean he has a base salary of $855,000 and a bonus of $165,000 (perhaps guaranteed money). The actual cap charge might differ due to the minimum salary benefit rule, but I can explain that once I see the details of the contract.
This signing doesn't guarantee that Cundiff is the Browns' kicker in 2014, but he will at least be part of the conversation through training camp. Kicker Brandon Bogotay is also on the roster and could compete with him. I do wonder if this kills my fantasy of the Browns bringing Phil Dawson back this offseason.
The Browns have now attended to three of their free agents: C Alex Mack, ILB Craig Robertson, and Cundiff. The other four free agents include RB Willis McGahee, OG Shawn Lauvao, OT Oniel Cousins, and SS T.J. Ward.
