Browns Bringing in CB Nevin Lawson for Pre-Draft Visit

The Browns will meet with a cornerback prospect in Berea.

Brian Spurlock-USA TODAY Sports

According to Aaron Wilson of the Baltimore Sun, the Cleveland Browns are bringing Utah State CB Nevin Lawson in for a pre-draft visit this coming week. Although Lawson is the 20th ranked cornerback prospect on CBS Sports' draft rankings, he is still projected to go in the fourth round.

The sentiment has been growing that the Browns might be interested in a cornerback with one of their draft picks after No. 4 overall. In fact, in our writers' mock draft, we took a cornerback for the Browns at No. 26 overall. Lawson, at 5-10, 190 lbs, is the first reported cornerback that Cleveland will either be visiting or holding a workout with. On our draft tracker, the Browns have primarily been focusing on quarterbacks -- once they exhaust that position, though, things like cornerback or wide receiver could be next.
