On Tuesday, the New York Jets signed former Oakland Raiders wide receiver Jacoby Ford to a contract. What does that have to do with the Cleveland Browns? Not much...until you hear what Ford said about the Browns:
Ex-#Raiders WR Jacoby Ford told NY reporters on conference call that #Browns were in contact with him before he signed with #Jets Tuesday.

This adds to the speculation that the Browns are not done with the receiver position after signing Andrew Hawkins away from the Cincinnati Bengals a couple of weeks ago. It also has to make you wonder if the Browns were indeed interested in DeSean Jackson...although the difference in the type of contract Jackson received versus what Ford received doesn't even compare.
The Browns might have also been interested in Ford for his return abilities; at one point in his career, he was one of the better kickoff returners in the NFL.
