Cleveland Browns Post-Draft Approval Poll: GM Ray Farmer

Prior to the draft, we conducted our first approval poll for Cleveland Browns GM Ray Farmer. The results were unquestionably in favor of Farmer -- 92.4% of fans approved of the job he was doing, 7.3% were undecided, and 0.22% did not approve of the job he was doing.

Now, it's time to conduct a post-draft approval rating for Farmer. There are a lot of things to digest; overall, Farmer's approval rating will remain very favorable, but we still want to measure how many detractors he has. Here are some things to evaluate Farmer on:

  • Passing up on WR Sammy Watkins, knowing that WR Josh Gordon might be out for the year. In the process, though, the Browns acquired a first-round pick in 2015.
  • Selecting CB Justin Gilbert -- choosing to bolster the secondary with their top pick of the draft.
  • Scoring QB Johnny Manziel at No. 22 overall, and brilliantly understanding the draft value of players to not have to "reach" for Manziel more than they did.
  • Passing up on WR Marqise Lee and WR Allen Robinson, as well as all other receivers in the draft, to take OG Joel Bitonio.

The decision to extend the contract of CB Joe Haden can also be considered for Farmer's approval rating. In the poll below, vote on whether you approve of the job that Farmer has done as general manager.
