The Cleveland Browns face two more weeks of work out in Berea before the long break until the start of training camp. Here is the remaining schedule for the team's offseason programs:
OTA Offseason Workouts: June 2-3, June 5-6
Mandatory Minicamp: June 10-12
Although the OTA sessions are voluntary, it is our understanding that nobody has been holding out or passing on the opportunity to impress the new coaching staff. You might see players take advantage of that luxury when a coaching staff has been in place for a couple of years, but not in year one. Everybody must report to the mandatory minicamp, though, or they will face a fine from the team. It is not anticipated that there will be any holdouts.
Training camp is expected to begin around July 26th, according to Mary Kay Cabot of the Plain Dealer. The coaches will be prepping for the season and evaluating how they'll set the depth chart to begin camp during all of the dead time, while the players will be studying their playbook and continuing to get in shape.
