The Cleveland Browns have not released their full 2014 training camp schedule yet, but we at least know the date, time, and location of the annual Family Day event. Due to the construction at FirstEnergy Stadium, this year's Family Day practice will be held at the University of Akron's InfoCision Stadium, according to Nate Ulrich of the Akron Beacon Journal. Registration for the event will be required, but the entry will remain free.

Event: Cleveland Browns' Family Fun Day Practice
When: Saturday, August 2nd, 2014 from 11:30 AM to 2:10 PM
Where: University of Akron's InfoCision Stadium

Based on Ulrich's report, it sounds like the practice might actually go back to being a legitimate intra-squad scrimmage this year, as opposed to just a regular day of practice like we've seen the past few years. Ulrich also explains why the practice is scheduled for the afternoon this year, rather than the evening:

The team switched to a daytime event this year because it didn’t want the practice to conflict with the Pro Football Hall of Fame’s enshrinement ceremony, which is scheduled to begin at 7 that night at Fawcett Stadium in Canton.

I won't be able to travel to Akron this season, which is a little disappointing, as this will be the first time I've missed the Family Day practice. With that said, I hope our Akron Browns Backers are thrilled with the news. If anybody thinks that they might be attending the event, we would appreciate any photos or notes you'd be willing to pass along to the DBN community!
