FIFA World Cup 2014: USA vs. Germany

What a day in sports it could be.

It starts at noon ET today as the United States takes on Germany and Ghana takes on Portugal. These are the final matches in Group G to determine who will qualify for the Round of 16 in the 2014 FIFA World Cup. If the United States wins or ties, they automatically advance. They could still advance with a loss, but it depends on the outcome of the other game. Here is a nice infographic made by one of our SB Nation affiliates on what the United States needs to qualify:

Then, tonight is the NBA Draft, with the Cleveland Cavaliers having the No. 1 pick. Let's hope for a United States win plus a franchise-defining draft for the Cavs!
