According to Aaron Wilson of the Baltimore Sun, the Cleveland Browns worked out OLB Edgar Jones on Monday:
There is good reason to believe that the Browns will sign Jones and another player to a contract soon. After releasing veteran linebackers Quentin Groves and Larry Grant late last week, the roster sits at 88 players. The Browns will get that number up to 90 players before mandatory minicamp begins on Tuesday.
Jones entered the league in 2007 as an undrafted free agent for the Baltimore Ravens. He lasted four years in Baltimore, primarily as a special teams contributor. He played with the Chiefs in 2012 before being traded to the Dallas Cowboys in 2013. Jones has just 38 tackles and 1.5 sacks in his 7-year career.
