Earlier today, the Cleveland Browns announced that registration for Family Day at University of Akron’s InfoCision Stadium will open on Thursday, July 17th, starting at 10:00 AM ET. The event itself takes place on Saturday, August 2nd, from 11:30 AM - 2:30 PM, with gates opening at 10:30 AM. Each fans will be able to register up to six tickets, as space permits.
The event itself is supposed to be more of an intrasquad scrimmage, as opposed to the normal type of practice sessions that Pat Shurmur and Rob Chudzinski held over the past several years. In addition, the Browns described some of the pre- and post-practice festivities that will be available:
From 9:30-11:30 a.m., the team will set up entertaining fan-engagement elements on Vine Street, including a Browns alumni autograph area (10-11 a.m.), a zip line, inflatables, face-painting stations and a food court.
After the final whistle, Browns players will sign autographs for fans in attendance. Select Browns fans will also be given jerseys off the backs of their favorite athletes. Food and beverage offerings will be available to fans throughout the intrasquad scrimmage.
If you are interested in registering for regular training camp sessions in Berea, you can already start doing that here. The first two practice dates are "sold out," but the rest of the dates are still available, as of this post.
Are any Browns fans here at DBN planning on registering and attending Family Day in Akron?
