Jump down to the comments section to discuss the Browns vs. Lions game each quarter with a bunch of other Browns fans!

Tim Fuller-USA TODAY Sports

The Browns got off to a shaky start in the first quarter, giving up a big kick return to the Lions. After the defense yielded a couple of first downs to Detroit, S Jordan Poyer came on a safety blitz to force a third-down throwaway, and the Lions settled for a field goal.

The Browns picked up a couple of first downs with their first offensive possession, but on the cusp of field goal range, the Browns decided to punt. Matthew Stafford's day ended after just one series as he gave way to backup Dan Orlovsky. The defense played tough, having a big hit from S Donte Whitner, a sack by OLB Barkevious Mingo, and a good read by ILB Karlos Dansby on third-down to force a punt.

The Browns picked up a couple of first downs on their next offensive drive, but the drive stalled on another overthrow by QB Brian Hoyer. Cleveland settled for a 43-yard field goal to tie the game at 3-3. We expect to see QB Johnny Manziel in the second quarter -- are you ready, Browns fans?
