Given how things have gone with the Cleveland Browns' backfield through three weeks, it's clear they made the right decision to pick Ben Tate, Terrance West, and Isaiah Crowell as their running backs. With that said, the Browns did seem to give veteran RB Chris Ogbonnaya a raw deal this preseason. He was the most experienced running back on the team, yet was virtually ignored by the coaching staff in terms of reps during the preseason.
When the Browns released him among their final roster cuts, Ogbonnaya didn't find a new home right away. Heading into Week 5, though, he'll have a job with the Carolina Panthers.
With the Panthers having DeAngelo Williams and Jonathan Stewart banged up, what's funny is that the Panthers' backfield this week could feature the tandem of Fozzy Whittaker and Ogbonnaya. Maybe they'll take a look at Edwin Baker soon? If you ask Joe Banner, he'd throw Dion Lewis on to the Panthers:
