The Browns got the ball to begin the third quarter and they came out with a no-huddle attack. It worked as QB Brian Hoyer led Cleveland down the field, and the drive ended with a 3-yard touchdown plunge by rookie RB Isaiah Crowell, cutting Pittsburgh's lead to 27-10. Then, the defense forced a quick three-and-out, and the Browns marched right down the field again, finishing the drive with a 15-yard touchdown run by Crowell.
The touchdown made it a 27-17 game with 9:00 still to play in the third quarter! It was a whole new ball game at that point. The Steelers got a couple of first downs on their next drive, but then the Browns registered a pair of sacks to force a punt and get the ball back with under 5:00 to play in the quarter. The Browns were knocking on the door again as we head to the fourth quarter of play, but will have to settle for a field goal try.
