The Chargers received the ball to begin the second half and after a big pass play, the Browns' committed a penalty on third down to put San Diego on the border of field goal territory. The Chargers then got backed out of field goal range after a couple of negative plays and had to punt.

After RB Duke Johnson left with an injury, RB Isaiah Crowell had an awesome 53-yard catch-and-run on 1st-and-20 to put the Browns in the red zone. A screen pass failed on third down, though, forcing the Browns to attempt a field goal from 33 yards out, which K Travis Coons nailed to give the Browns a 16-13 lead mid-way through the third quarter.

The Chargers pounced right back with a 61-yard release-catch-and-run by RB Danny Woodhead. On the next play, QB Philip Rivers lofted a perfect pass to TE Ladarius Green over SS Donte Whitner for a 19-yard touchdown, putting them up 20-16. The Browns went three-and-out and had to punt. The Chargers pushed the ball to midfield on their next drive, but stalled after a third down sack to close out the quarter. WR Travis Benjamin had a nice return to close out the quarter -- can Cleveland rally?
